Mat Classes

We offer a variety of studio and online (virtual) classes with a difference in focus, tempo and level to suit all. Classes incorporate fluid movements using a variety of small apparatus to generate mobility, strength, flexibility, posture, balance, function, breath and mindfulness aimed at improving movement efficiency and mind body connections – on the mat AND beyond.

All Physio classes are taught by a Physio and Pilates Rehab professional. Rebates apply.

General Pilates Mat Classes are taught by a Certified Pilates Instructor.

Mat Class - Ease

A quiet, gentle class focusing on breathing, postural awareness, core foundations, gentle joint mobility, muscle strength and balance.

Designed for clients who are beginners, have low to moderate chronic pain or those with low level arthritis and balance issues. Ideal for seniors, clients who have been sedentary for a while or those wishing to master the foundation exercises to improve their form and effectiveness when participating in the higher-level mat class sessions.

Mat Class - Flow

A fun, fluid class that focuses on posture and body awareness, spine articulation and joint control, core muscle strengthening in conjunction with overall body conditioning and balance.

Appropriate for beginners to intermediate clients. Ideal for active newcomers or those with low level, low care pain that have not had an acute episode in the past 2 months.

Mat Class - Power

A dynamic class that focuses on movement efficiency, advanced body conditioning, inversions and full body integrated movement challenges.

Mat Class – Fascial Ease & Breathe

A class focusing on mindful movement, flexibility and breath. A gentle paced session incorporating active and passive stretching of muscles, fascia and the nervous system to enhance overall movement capacity, posture and mind relaxation.

Designed for all level of clients.

Strong, Active Aging

Designed for the more “ mature” clients, primarily carried out in sitting or standing beside your chair. A class incorporating stretching, strengthening, weight bearing exercise, and a focus on balance and posture. Aimed at improving mobility, bone density and reducing falls risk.

Ideal for clients who are osteopenic, osteoporotic or have reduced balance and/or wanting to improve strength whilst managing injuries/discomfort effectively. Run by a physiotherapist, modified for each individuals needs within the class environment.

Strength & Conditioning

A circuit class designed to develop and build strength and conditioning fundamentals. The class will focus on building strength and control in key muscle groups, before incorporating this into functional exercises that build power and high level balance and control.

Conducted by Strength and Condition Certified Instructors experienced in adolescent and adult health, pain and musculoskeletal problems, whole health and functional training.

Yoga

YOGA – VINYASA FLOW
Vinyasa (translates to “flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with  focused breathing, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Vinyasa yoga is characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath.
Emphasis on alignment, form and intentions, as well as the 8 limbs of yoga fundamentals make this a well rounded class.
Suitable for all levels.
YOGA – EASE
A yoga flow using props including the chair to give you options up off the mat!

Ease into a new Yoga experience to unload joints and improve alignment to ease pain, tension and stress whilst connecting the mind, body and breath. Ease does not necessarily mean easy!
Open to all levels.
